Visual art is such an interesting thing that material and artistic language means a lot in it, and sometimes dictates you its own rules and even gives new ideas. That's why great artists of the past could create increadable masterpieces - their technic was perfect and they could allow anything to come out of their heads into reality. That's the case of Picasso and Dali, though they say that Kandinsky was not good at classical drawing - anyway his feeling of colour was beyond ordinary human perception.

Professionalism is a relative thing sometimes, though in Russia so called "school" is appreciated) Sometimes I feel also a lack of mastery, because I started painting seriously not long time ago. All my studying before had been more theoretical than practical)) I got my PhD on philosophy of Arts and then was giving lectures on it for about 7 years, and only now I'm trying to develop my painting career))
